A year of volatility for Asia markets in 2015

Updated: May 6, 2021

2015 is going to be a year with good volatility. Since middle of 2011, traders and brokers have been complaining about the market with lack of trading opportunities. However, there are signs that this consolidation is towards it's last phase or may have ended. Looking forward to a good year for traders.

Since after the US meltdown in 2007 and 2008, most markets around the world has entered into a period of consolidation and this range has lasted 6 years by now. Market consolidation will not last forever, from the above long term chart, you could see market range has been narrowing. In behavioural science, we believe it will take some fundamental development to break away from this range.

I believe Shanghai - Hong Kong stock connect that initiated in November 2014 will open a floodgate of investment into China. In the above H-Shares index, the market has been reacting well to this initiative, breaking away from the range. I am expecting a volatile and exciting year of 2015.

Following pictures - I was Hong Kong between 4th and 5th November 2014. Sharing my views on the initiative on Shanghai - Hong Kong stock connect. The following participants were all licensed holder in the financial field, I have encouraged them to "hang-on" on this low volatility and business activities. 2015 should be a good year.

Thank you for giving me a 4.88/5.00 rating on my delivery!
