Lester Chan's Profile

 

Lester is the managing director of BeaconRock Limited, a private equity firm that specialises in late stage funding and leveraged buyouts. He works closely with board directors of both listed and private firms to implement corporate strategies involving turnarounds and sustainability.

 

Lester is also an adjunct professor at the Singapore Management University and teaches the Masters of Innovation program. He validates the postgraduates business plans and sits on the board of advisors of start-up ventures lending his expertise in strategy and finance. The start-ups he mentored won numerous awards yearly at the prestigious Asia Venture Challenge.

 

Lester used to be a management consultant and prior to that, a banker. He has accumulated over a decade of experience consulting and investing in the entire value chain of companies from start-ups to listed companies in Asia.

 

Lester is pursuing his post-graduate studies in valuation from the University of British Columbia. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Singapore Management University and

a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
